A few years ago, a kid named Aang saved the world. He was the Avatar. In the time, he discovered the lightbenders. They were hidden among the people he saw on the streets... the people he lived with...anyone. THis is the story of the child who was to become king of the lightbenders.

Mira Longfolk sighed and twisted a strand of blonde hair absentmindedly. She was at home, and her parents were tryig to explain something to her. They had recenty just welcomed a young boy into their home along his journeys. His name was Aang.

In the SOuth Pole...
"Got ya!" a boy yelled. He was 12 and he just got his sister with a water whip.
"Your mean, Rai," the girl said rubbing her rear end.
"I know I am, Ania," the boy said, proud he could beat his fourteen-year-old sister at Waterbending. "I'm only the best Waterbender in the whole South Pole!"

Mira shivered. She was thirteen, and had lost her home and family to the fire Nation. She was lost, in what appeared to be the South Pole. The teenager heard voices, and her hopes soared. She ran towards the sound, soon to spot two kids around the same age as her.
She walked forward till they could see her. But the cold air was too much for her brittle jacket. She fell to the icy ground, nearly unconcious.

Thirteen-year-old Rai saw and ran over to her. It's been twelve years since Aang beat the Fire Nation, and yet, there is still damage to be restored.

Rai summoned some hot water and healed her. HE smiled and looked at her, awed by her beauty.

It took a few moments for her eyes to open. Coughing and trying to lean up she gave a shiver and lay back down.
"S-so c-cold..." she said shakily, teeth chattering.

RAi smiled as he heated the water. All of a sudden, the water became fire and he paniced. He fell over in the snow as Mira got up.
