Okies Chapter III done. I don't like it really.


Chapter III- Enter: Kexmea the Feathering Gust


Riku didn't have any experience with the Gummi Ship. Mostly, Sora did all the driving. Riku had no idea what he was doing or where he was going. So, when the ship's HUD started flashing red and beeping, he began to panic and press random buttons. After more red flashing, beeping and button mashing, the ship halted flight and began to free fall onto the world below. Once finally hitting the surface, Riku limped from the wreck asking himself two things: How he survived the crash and how he was going to continue his journey. He didn't notice that there was a girl sitting on a rock not too far from the crash site, holding a large decorative fan in front of her face.

"Hello, Mr. UFO." She called out to him. Riku turned to look at her, and she jumped down from the rock she sat on and walked over. The girl was slightly shorter than Riku, with black hair and brown eyes. She wore a black dress with silver four-pointed stars adorning its front, knee-high boots, sparkled black gloves, and fishnet sleeves and leggings.

"Well then, aren't you fancy," Riku commented on her unique outfit, "Perhaps you could tell me where I am?"
The girl giggled in a high-pitched girly kind of voice.

"Teehee! I just simply loooooooooooooooooove boys with a sense of humor!! Welcome to Fate's Ravine, sweetheart! You got a name?"

"My name is Riku..."

"Oooh! What an adorable name!! Just like you!! oooh hoo hoo! My name's Kexmea, and I'm this town's shining star!!"

Riku stared at her. Kexmea sounded too much like an Organization XIII name. Or maybe he was just imagining things. A sudden gust of wind blew through the clearing, almost foreshadowing an ill event. Kexmea lifted the fan back up to her face.

"By chance, do you happen to know anyone who is a Keyblade wielder?" She asked in an innocent tone.

"Ummm...why?"

"Well, you see....this town has always believed that someday, a Keyblade bearer would come to save them from their wrongdoings...I've spent a long time looking for someone with a key, in hopes of fulfilling these people's wishes."
In this same situation, Sora would have becomey and would have replied with a happy, 'That's me!'. But Riku knew better than to trust anyone that even looks suspicious. And Kexmea definitely looked suspicious. Sooner than Kexmea could have put her fan down, Neoshadows had swarmed the opening, preparing their attack.

There's no time to be worrying about suspicions now. Riku thought, summoning his Keyblade. Kexmea looked on in awe before turning to the Neoshadow next to her and beating it back into the ground with her fan. Soon, it was a full-scale war, two-on-one thousand battle against the Heartless.

"Oooh, you stupid, stupid, stupid Heartless always have to ruin everything!! Well you obviously had no idea that you were messing with Kexmea, the Feathering Gust!!" She cried, flicking her fan through the air, creating a whirlwind strong enough to push back the frontal assault. Riku dealt with the Neoshadows that strayed from the front line to attack directly. Within a few minutes, the fight was over. Riku prepared to put away his Keyblade, when Kexmea shot a gust of wind at him. Startled, but nonetheless prepared, Riku spun to look at her. Her fan was raised high into the air.
"Oh, sweetheart," she pouted, "I hate to do this but orders ARE orders, and by the order of Lord Xelax Shadow, I must eliminate you!!" She flung the fan towards Riku, who jumped out of the way. Thinking he had dodged her attack, he readied his own, but he didn't predict the counterattack, a whirl of wind, dust, leaves, and pyreflies* that knocked Riku backwards with a tremendous force. Behind him was a spiked mountain that would surely kill anyone forced back into it.

This is it. I'm gonna die. I'm gonna get skewered, and I'm gonna die... He thought to himself. He closed his eyes and wished he were somewhere, anywhere else. Instead, he hit full-force into...a large bubble.

Okay...this is odd.

Kexmea looked above the bubble with a frightened expression, muttered something to herself, and disappeared into a dark portal. Riku was confused. He wanted to know what was going on, who Kexmea really was, and who Lord Xelax Shadow was. His thoughts were only returned by a familiar voice.

"Heya, Riku."

Kayrx jumped down from one of the mountain spires and popped the bubble.

"Konban wa**...Kayrx, wasn't it? What're you doing here?"

"Looking for you. You left without letting me tell you what you were up against. At least now you have some idea. That Kexmea...she's a Shadow. They're a powerful group of ex-Nobodies who are even more than a match for you. You won't be able to get what you want with them having control over Kingdom Hearts. At least not alone."

Riku sort of semi-glared at her.

"So what you're saying is...is that you want to help me out, right?"

"Exactly! I know a lot about them, having been one myself-"

"Huh?"

"OH! Ummm...nothing, nothing! Heh heh heh!! Come on, let's go find Axel and Roxas. They went out looking for anything that we can use to our advantage."

Kayrx opened a dark portal. There were a lot of questions that Riku wanted to ask her, but for some reason he couldn't.

"Coming?" Kayrx called.

"Yeah.." He replied, following her into the portal into who knows where.


(*Pyreflies (My definition): from Final Fantasy X. Formed when a spirit is combined with water, giving it an eerie glowing physical form.)

btw, I my fan fic, Karyx is a Nobody rejected by the Organization (no one notices she's a Nobody cause she has feelings. Why? I wont tell)
